Description Chambers attracts a significant volume of junior advocacy work and prides itself on developing pupils and junior tenants, helping them become strong advocates capable of a sustained career at the bar. Although based on the North-Eastern Circuit, Chambers has a national network of instructing solicitors and members regularly undertake as much work off circuit as they do on circuit. Pupil Supervisors You will be allocated two pupil supervisors, one from the civil team and one from the crime team, in order to ensure that you are exposed to the full gamut of chambers work. Pupils share the supervisors room and accompany them in all aspects of their practice. You may, from time to time, also work with other members of chambers if warranted by your development. First Six You will go to court and attend conferences on a daily basis with your pupil supervisor. You will also assist with undertaking drafting and written advices as well as legal research. Second Six You will take on an increasing amount of your own work and as the tenancy decision approaches are likely to be in court three of four times per week.
