Having recently returned to Chambers following a period of leave to start a family Nicki has already had successes in both the First-tier and Upper-tier of the Immigration and Asylum Tribunal. Following submissions made by Ms Forster during a hearing this week in the First-tier tribunal, her clients appeal was allowed against the Home Offices refusal to grant Asylum. The tribunal accepted Ms Forsters submission that her client and his family faced removal to a third country where they held no right of residence and therefore they would ultimately face removal to their home country in contravention of Article 1 of the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. Speaking about Ms Forsters return to chambers joint heads of chambers Richard Canning and Robert Skyner said: We were absolutely delighted when Nicki joined chambers in 2014. She made an immediate impact at Chambers forging a stellar reputation as a tough, thorough and fearless advocate. She rapidly developed a dedicated following amongst Instructing Solicitors. She was greatly missed by solicitors and colleagues alike during her parental leave and it is a great pleasure to welcome her back. She continues to excel, displaying tenacity whilst providing clear concise and compassionate advocacy. Nicki is amongst the vanguard of juniors within Chambers whom we have no doubt will go on to forge a long and distinguished career at 39.
