Description
Chambers attracts a significant volume of junior advocacy work and prides itself on developing pupils and junior tenants, helping them become strong advocates capable of a sustained career at the bar.

Pupil Supervisors
Pupils will likely be supervised by one or both Heads of Chambers. Criminal pupillage will cover both Defence and Prosecution work up to RASSO Grade 4 level. Civil pupillage will also cover all civil hearings up to Multi-Track Trials.

Pupils will share their supervisor’s room and accompany them in all aspects of their practice. You may, from time to time, also work with other Members of Chambers covering Magistrates Courts work if warranted by your development.

First Six
You will go to court and attend conferences on a daily basis with your pupil supervisor. You will also assist with undertaking drafting and written advices as well as legal research.

Second Six
You will take on an increasing amount of your own work and as the tenancy decision approaches are likely to be in court a minimum of three of four times per week.

Award
Chambers guarantees income of a minimum of £25,000, comprising of a £8,400 award during the first six and guaranteed earnings of £16,600 in the second six. However, past pupils have exceeded these figures in their second six, earning over and above the guaranteed minimum. We estimate pupils will earn £20,000-£35,000 in their second six, making the total anticipated earnings £28,400 – £43,400 during pupillage.
