Chambers welcomes Brian Russell as our new door tenant
Our recent addition to Chambers, Brian Russell successfully achieved Grade 4 on the CPS advocate’s panel early this year. He was instructed to prosecute the case of R v L at Leeds Crown Court. The defendant pleaded guilty to offences of Rape and Wounding with intent to cause GBH following a brutal assault upon a woman walking home alone in Castleford.
This case engaged the “Dangerousness Provisions” of the Criminal Justice Act and L was sentenced to life imprisonment.
