A 19 year old girl was sentenced to 8 years detention in a Young Offender Institution by HHJ Khokar at Leeds Crown Court on Friday 10th March 2017.

She had pleaded guilty to one count of wounding with intent and one count of unlawful wounding on the first day of her trial at Leeds Crown Court on Monday 13th February 2017.

The trial had been due to last for at least 6 days and involved almost 30 witnesses including a Home Office pathologist and two consultant surgeons.
