Brian Russell enhances his fraud practice.
Brian has been successful this year in his applications for the Serious Fraud Office Panel B & the CPS Specialist Fraud Advocacy Panel Grade 3. These are his thoughts.
“I have recently prosecuted Fraud cases in Teesside and Manchester on a late returns basis from other chambers, both involving the fraudulent evasion of VAT and Income Tax, both led to convictions after trial.
The CPS however, will usually look to brief advocates in the first instance from those on the CPS Advocates Panel.
Now I am on those panels, I hope to gain more experience in prosecuting fraud cases, instructed from the outset. I look forward to being able to advise and prepare cases both for the CPS Northern Fraud Group based in Manchester and more widely for the Serious Fraud Office.”
