Sean Ell Appointed as MPTS Tribunal Chairman
Chambers is delighted to note that Sean Ell has been appointed by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service as a Tribunal Chairman.
The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service runs hearings for doctors whose fitness to practise is called into question. The Tribunal protect patients by making independent decisions about a doctor’s fitness to practise, measured against professional standards set by the General Medical Council. It has the powers to impose sanctions against the doctor’s registration where necessary.
Sean continues to maintain a regulatory practice and is happy to take instructions in other regulatory and disciplinary proceedings, including cases involving the NMC, GDC GPhC, SDT and other professional bodies.
Sean’s other areas of work include immigration, asylum, nationality and EU law, administrative law and general civil matters.
